Retirement Celebration for Kathy Kellhofer
Our team recently had a retirement celebration for Kathy Kellhofer! Kathy and her husband, Larry purchased Sarcoxie Insurance Agency in 1986 and she continued to serve her customers after their agency merged with ours in 2013. Kathy has committed more than 30 years to her customers. Best wishes to her in her retirement and she will always be part of the Specialty Risk family! When asked what her retirement plans are, she said running the family dairy as there is always endless work to do there.
Additional history of Sarcoxie Insurance Agency:
- Sarcoxie Insurance Agency was first licensed in 1906 to Gilbert Roper and A.L. Gurley in First National Bank
- Purchased in 1947 by Walter Nance Sr. with the bank sale
- In 1964 Walter Nance Jr. and Richard Lewis ran the agency with the bank business
- Purchached in 1977 by Richard Lewis and moved to the southeast corner of the Sarcoxie square
- Purchased June 1, 1986 by Larry and Kathy Kellhofer
- Merged with Specialty Risk Insurance in 2013
- Feburary 9, 2015 moved to the current location 203 N. 16th St. Sarcoxie, MO 64862
